MBL Supports Chinese Author Xue Mo at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest trade fair for books in the world, particularly important for the negotiation of international publishing rights. The 2023 Fair was held at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt, Germany, on 18-22 October. The MBL volunteer team was in attendance to support Chinese author Xue Mo with a series of events, including his talk 'Illuminating Feminine Power', which was held at the International Stage - the Fair's main venue.

MBL and Xue Mo began collaborating at the London Book Fair in April 2023. Since then, Xue Mo has provided MBL with both monetary and book donations. As a charitable organisation known for promoting Chinese culture around the world, MBL was invited to support Xue Mo and his team during the Frankfurt Book Fair. Together, they explored themes around Chinese literature in a global context, and discussed how to further strengthen cultural exchange between China and the West with publishers and literary agents from numerous countries, including Germany, France, the USA, Spain and Australia.

母爱桥支持中国作家雪漠2023法兰克福书展系列活动

10月18-22日，2023年法兰克福书展在德国法兰克福展览中心举办，这是世界最大的国际图书版权交易会。作家雪漠再次来到法兰克福，不仅作为中国作家设置了独立展台，而且在中心会场International Stage 举办了“文学见证女性力量”为主题的雪漠作品国际研讨会。母爱桥志愿者团队全程支持和参与此次研讨。

自2023年4月伦敦书展合作之后，雪漠文化从捐款到捐书给予母爱桥大力支持。作为中国文化传播的志愿者和对雪漠文化的支持者，在法兰克福书展期间，母爱桥MBL应邀与雪漠团队相互学习与探索中国文学与世界交流的认知、方法、渠道。在母爱桥MBL的邀请与组织下，双方团队一起与德国、法国、美国、西班牙、澳大利亚等国家的出版商和文学代理人交流，并与德国和英国的华人作家和出版社展开探讨如何进一步强化中西文化交流之桥。
