MBL volunteer center launched the “Support Project for Disabled Orphans” and the “Books for Kids” project to set up International Children’s Library, supporting rural primary schools in impoverished areas of China and helping left-behind children to find their dreams and receive an education so that they can escape from ignorance and poverty. During this period, MBL's president, Toby Eady, organized a mission to China, taking publishers, editors, and literary critics from more than twenty countries to visit China over a three-year period. The mission met with Chinese writers, publishers, bookstores, scholars, and literature enthusiasts, discussing how to help bring Chinese literature to the world and create a worldwide platform for more and better literature sharing, so as to promote mutual understanding and peace among mankind.

MBL Toby Eady Library” also located in MBL China Volunteer Center in Nanjing, where they set up the “to commemorate Toby’s contributions to MBL and to the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.

Offers yearly Chinese volunteer training and regular trips to rural China, where the most of Chinese adoptees come from, to conduct research, deliver books through the B4K program, and help village schools to build MBL libraries.
